ABGP is a national-level organization committed to serving society through the welfare of Grahaks (consumers)
As per the 2024 membership data, ABGP is active in 42 Prants, over 450 Jillas, and more than 1,200 locations across India.
Since the Swarna Jayanti Varsh, our goal has been to transform the Grahak Andolan into a Jan Andolan—a true people’s movement.
ABGP addresses key national consumer issues such as food adulteration, MRP violations, railway concerns, banking depositor rights, cyber safety, misleading advertisements, and OTT platform regulations—through its structured presence across Prants.
Why ABGP?
Grahak ignorance is one of the causes for exploitation. Haste and market forces are the other reasons.
There in not a single field in which the consumer is not cheated.
The consumer movement aim to save Grahak from exploitation.
The unorganized consumer must know his right to organize against exploitation. Stand on his own and form a chain of co-consumers in this movement.
Grahak Panchayat has started as consumer movement

I have briefed about the activities of Grahak Panchayat. The whole nation is in need of such work. The youth should undertake this constructive work. I would like to invite everybody’s attention to this work. I whole heartedly bless this activity
Friends, remember, consumer is the kingpin in a rural democracy. The mission of Grahak Panchayat will be accepted by the whole nation in future. Had Gandhiji been alive today he would have given this work to nation as ‘One Point Programme’.
The work of Grahak Panchayat is right effort in the right direction. You should strive to take this activity to every city and village. The youth must participate in this movement. The nation needs such constructive work.
The work started by Grahak Panchayat has the potential of restructuring the nation’s economic order. After independence such work must spread throughout the country. The approach of Grahak Panchayat is ideal and depraves to be emulated.
